Family fun for all ages . . . This issue we’re focusing on making the
most of family vacations, and we think that cruising is just a great opportunity
to have the perfect family vacation. We don’t have to tell you: Keeping
everyone happy and finding a vacation that offers something for everyone can
be quite challenging. Onboard a Holland America Line ship, families are discovering
that cruising gives them the ideal combination of a variety of activities,

For example, for your little ones, Club HAL® has expanded to include more
and more activities that inspire creativity and social interaction. Facilities
have also been expanded for children ages 3-12, so there’s just a lot
more room for “kids to be kids.” For your teens ages 13-17, a secluded
teen deck known as “The Oasis” features plenty of space for teenagers
to relax and mingle with other teens and enjoy a one-of-a-kind waterfall and

cooking display counter and plasma video screens for close-up views. You will
observe gourmet demonstrations in a theatre-style setting, as well as participate
in hands-on cooking classes limited to just 12 guests. These sessions, offered
for a nominal additional charge, allow you to train under world-class chefs
as you not only learn how to prepare special foods, but also attend themed
lectures, take part in Q&A sessions and enjoy -specially-designed onboard
menus, and more.
