This collection – featuring environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, family-sized vehicles – will be enhanced with a planned $68 million investment in 3,400 reservable Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles. The Green Collection and the introduction of hybrid vehicles will complement the 105,000 EPA SmartWay™ certified cars currently in the Company’s rental fleet. This announcement served to mark another phase in Hertz’s company-wide initiative to promote environmental sustainability in “all aspects of our business.” The Hertz Green Collection will allow you to reserve (and the Company guarantees) specific makes and models of higher mileage, environmentally-friendly mid- and full-sized cars. This guarantee is a key distinction and not offered by any other national car rental company. This impressive Green Collection was launched September, 2006, and includes over 35,000 other environmentally friendly vehicles – besides the Toyota Prius hybrid – with an average EPA highway fuel efficiency rating of at least 31 mpg. • KOREA – South Korea, known as “The Land of the Morning Calm,” is a very mountainous country full of wonderful pockets of traditional culture and unspoiled scenery – ranging from the vibrant sights and sounds of Seoul to the peace and quiet of the Haeinsa Temple or Seoraksan National Park. Korean culture is focused on balancing the yin and yang, the hot and cold – and the country is “best seen with a sense of balance in mind.” The frenzy of the city balanced with the tranquility of the country side should give you a solid introduction to one of the world’s oldest cultures. A “snapshot” of South Korea’s foremost attractions would include Buddhist temples, mountain climbing, hiking, beautiful scenery, hot springs and spas, beaches, palaces, casinos, museums, snow skiing, traditional dance and music, cultural performances and shopping. Food is different from that in the rest of Asia – it’s generally considered spicy and salty.
